books: Everything I Love in a Cover

Continuing my assault on the wall of boxes arrayed along the side wall like Roman columns, I chanced across this gem:

This is, literally, everything I love about classic Pulp paperbacks.

Crazy title with its own idiosyncratic logo, amazingly loopy blurb- THE TARZAN OF OUTER SPACE! and lurid, mishmash cover art, with Balzan wearing what appears to be a Roman centurions skirt, brandishing his shiv with one still in the sheath.  And you can't really see it in the pic, but that column of guys below the ridgeline?  Blue tunics over purple jumpsuits, with cat heads...and not cool alien life form cat heads, just some neighborhood tabby.

So great.
