In Which I Vicariously Party Crash the Royal Wedding

The Wife was chatting with Creelea earlier and discovered that Kate, the better half of media sensation William and Kate, hails from the microscopic British hamlet Buckleberry.

Which is where we spent our recent vacation, rubbing shoulders with some of the tradesfolk Kate has graciously invited to the big royal shindig.

In keeping with her and Prince William’s wish for a ‘people’s wedding’, residents from her Berkshire village are among the ordinary citizens who will mix with royals, dignitaries and celebrities at Westminster Abbey.
It had already been revealed that John Haley, landlord of the Old Boot Inn where the couple and Kate’s parents go for a quiet drink, has made the list of 1,900 guests.

Here's Fuss checking out the eponymous Old Boot:

And here's barely visible wife posing before that (now) famed establishment:

Martin Fidler, who has run the Bladebone Butchery in nearby Chapel Row for 30 years, said he and his wife Sue have also made the guest list.
Here's his shop:

Martin graciously provided the grouse Creelea cooked up for our old timey Two Fat Ladies-esque dinner:
She wanted chicken, but the weight of his scorn tipped the scales toward culinary adventure.

I now feel a mildly proprietary interest in the nuptials.

Cheers to Martin and the Old Boot! Cheers to the newlyweds!
