One nice thing about being a Padre fan, we're not likely to end up as the butt of an Onion joke.
I've been reading a lot of weepy testimonials to the 'destruction' of the franchise by that meanie Frank McCort and cheering Bud Selig's intervention in the situation, and oh how sad the franchise has fallen on such hard times, but you know what?
Another nice thing about being a Padre fan: we didn't steal our team from Brooklyn.
