One of the vanishingly few actors who was genuinely compelling in every single one of his roles, and who seemed to choose his roles for reasons other than fame and fortune.
I was lying in bed last night with Tiner pondering the complexities of life, a puzzle neither of us have been able to fully assemble.
"Well, at least we're not alcoholics or drug addicts....that would be the worst. I think I'd just kill myself." she eventually concluded.

Was reading "The Pale King" yesterday and thinking of one of the characters: Philip Seymour Hoffman would own this role. We don't see his like very often.
