If I want to order a generic Billy bookcase from the Ikea site:

Meanwhile, over at Amazon, I can order one from some dude who set up a virtual Amazon storefront and fills his orders by paying retail at his local Ikea:

Now, that's still an egregious markup and one I'd never pay....but compared to Ikea it's quite a deal.
