my morning greeting:
"Dada, we're not going ot make you saw up that branch in the back yard."
"Oh? Why not?"
"Because you're such a good Dada. And also, we're not going to trick you."
"Oh, thank you!"
Sawing up the branch was a running joke he had with the Wife this week- they'd whisper about it behind my back, which delighted him no end.
And with the upcoming Dia De Los Muertos celebration at his school I got this one in the kitchen as he was noshing on pumpkin pie:
"Today's the day of Death. I'll draw a picture of Grandma Linda and how she died."
Last night he asked me "Dada do I get to go to school tomorrow?"
Slow progress.
