flustered middle aged gal comes in.
"Do you guys....buy books?"
"Yep, any day before four."
She freezes for a handful of seconds, so I go back to pricing.
Then she snaps out of it, talking double speed to make up for lost time.
"OH GOOD! I have a bunch in my car, so I'll go get my car, and I'll drive it and park closer and bring in the books! I GOTTA GET RID OF THEM!"
"Okay!"
I have a bet with my co-worker regarding the quality of this buy.
And shouting I GOTTA GET RID OF THESE! at the vendor you're hoping will buy your goods is probably frowned on in the Negotiation 101...just a thought.
