Older southern fellow dressed for the golf course comes in with his wife.
He asked if we had an obscure devotional, I said I didn't think so.
A few minutes later he wanders back in from the other room, holding up a copy of The River Why by David James Duncan.
"That book I was after had a cover like this!"
and later, browsing the paperback hot rack spinners:
"Seems like a lotta women authors coming out. Some of 'em got filthy mouths."
