Books Travel in Packs

is a saying we have around the shop.

Most of the stuff we see over the counter is from individuals, and the books reflect their tastes. Avid readers of whatever genre inevitably amass interesting collections of titles- whether these are salable or not is another question.

Today I picked up a tidy little stack of vintage westerns from second tier authors. Nothing tremendously sought after, but the sort of thing you need to stock to keep Western fiction from becoming the Louis L'Amour and Zane Gray Section. And as older genre titles, they had some cool promo blurbs.

My favorites:

The West was a harsh mistress....

They robbed for justice, killed for vengeance and blazed a hot-lead trail across the raw frontier!

Only the fugitive gunfighter could stop the wave of slaughter!

And as a bonus, a fine title:
Guns Blaze on Spiderweb Range
