Fiddling around with the backend stuff over the past month or so has revealed that weekends are a veritable Roach Motel of traffic- posts go up, but nobody checks them out. Similarly, traffic dies on *my* weekend because I'm not posting.
The solution?
Time shifting weekend posts to the wed-thurs-fri content hole via the magic of twitterfeed!
For those dedicated readers who do keep up on the weekends; stuff is still happening, I'm just delaying gratification for a few days.
It seems like a waste to post a bunch of stuff when nobody's around to read it, so I'm going where the readers are....or more accurately, when they are.

Your twitter-fying has changed me from a dude who checks in once every couple of weeks (usually with a pile of stuff to catch up on) to a guy who reads whenever there is new content posted. Well done.
I feel a little bad for maligning Twitter for as long as I did. It's useful and highly entertaining- following Patton Oswalt alone has generated more laughs than any comedy I've seen in the past few years.
What I never expected was the wealth of useful techobabble from my video-editing colleagues. It's a firehose of information and professional chatter. Based on other folk' usage of the system, I had expected it to be 100% poop-jokes.
I don't have to troll around for fun links any more, anything interesting shows up on twitter well before it appears on linkfilter or metafilter or wherever.
