Uh, okay.
When mom was dying pretty much all I listened to was Elliott Smith. I haven't listened to much of his stuff since then, but like a camel storing water I'm still carrying it around. The tune of his that seemed most apropos at the time was this one.
She was always searching for some undefined and likely indefinable, taking us through assorted grubby venues in a perpetual state of sublimated anxiety and desperation. Even finding it didn't make anyone happy for very long, and we wound up worse off than before.
