About Gosh Darn Time!

FINALLY!

If his farewell speech maintains the intellectual and moral tenor of his administration's actions over the past eight years, we can expect him to drop his pants and light a fart into the microphone.

And given the way all of his other actions have played out he'll fuck that up too and end up trying to light a Shart.

Youtube awaits!

It occurred to me this morning that Dubya’s delightful legacy may very well be this:

For the rest of our natural lives, we will hear newscasters or their equivalents use numerous variations on the phrase “…the worst ___________ since the Bush administration.”

e.g. “This could end up being the worst recession since the Bush administration,” “…the worst terrorist attack on American soil since the Bush administration,” “…the worst jobs report since the Bush administration,” “…America’s global prestige is at its lowest point since the Bush administration,” etc.

A sort of ongoing and well-fitting epitaph.

I caught some 'highlights' of his farewell press conference on Democracy Now.

The 'best' part was his continuing insistence that his legacy will be vindicated by history.

A marked change from

"George W. Bush, when asked by Bob Woodward "how is history likely to judge your Iraq war?" replied, "History, we don't know. We'll all be dead.""

You see that was his plan.

He was hoping to destabilize the Middle East and Hindenburg our economy so after the Apocalypse no one would be around to outline what a mental flatline he was.
