Today I came across this description under for a $61.05 'Collectible- Like New' copy of Maia by Richard Adams:

'BCE' is shorthand for Book Club Edition, which is longhand for Garbage.
And 'early print' is meaningless with book club editions, because they are (almost universally, and certainly in this case) garbage.
