First customer of the day roulette, selling stuff edition.
He had a couple of things we could use and one well-worn copy of one of Updike's Rabbit books. An okay seller, but he wanted cash so I passed.
"You don't want this one? But it's $40 on Ebay!"
"Sounds like Ebay is the place to sell it, then."
I'm sure if I poked around I could find a copy for $40, or $75, or $500.
But a regular old beat up copy, even if it's a 1st edition, is $5-7 on the shelf.
The cash for the stuff I did buy made a fine compress for his bruised expectations and everyone walked away happy.
