I've sort of randomly griped about this before- the more advertiser/click chasing news becomes, the less authority it has to convey meaningful information. So at a time when a rampant right wing, deranged by ideology, is shutting down states, disenfranchising vast swaths of the citizenry and threatening to destroy the national credit rating, CNN leads with a random murder case, a titillating but inconsequential sexual harassment charge and.....pie.


But hey, look over there....FIREWORKS!
