Contrary to your dearest wishes The Internet is no more the arbiter of what I will pay for a book than your uneducated online fumblings define what a particular title is "worth".
And if you'd managed, by some cosmic miracle, to correctly grade and value your precious tomes why offer them to me, a rapacious middleman slavering for a taste of profit? This ratty old book club edition is a rare, valuable 1st worth hundreds of dollars, right? Why not sell it yourself and wrap yourself around all that sweet, sweet profit, a miniature Daffy Duck clutching a pearl and screeching MINE, MINE, I'M RICH, I'M A HAPPY MISER!
