I'm sympathetic to folk having their different pet projects and all, but this is dorky.
Actually, on second thought it reeks of marketing. Slip some money to a dude under the table to make a big deal about how you're changing your corporate logo and voila, the next thing you know whiners like me are giving you exposure on their blogs...and also the whiners at the LA Times.
